Hello Friends! Just wanted to hop on in here and share a few posts I’ve saved up from around the Substack Universe that you may have missed. I am a believer in promoting the good things that others post! This modest Substack is now over 400 subscribers, so thank you for that! Welcome to new folks. The most regular feature here is the Sunday Night Update, but I reserve the right to interrupt your day most anytime I feel like it. March roared in like a lion last night with thunder boomers and heavy rain and a temperature drop. Nothing drastic but there were a few window-rattlers!
Well, however you answered, I’m still going to post these suggestions and any really brilliant readers among us will check them out, give them hearts, and maybe even subscribe. (But at least give them a heart, it doesn’t cost any extra and it extracts from the author a desire to produce more profundity!). So here are some posts I enjoyed and you might enjoy as well.
Posts You should Check Out
I always enjoy E. L Sherene’s posts. I liked this on on Toast, Butter, and Memories
I loved Beth Yarbrough’s pictures and narrative in The Long Vigil.
I encourage you to join me in Praying for Richard and Anna. An amazing post - In a Boat Called 'Grace'.
S. E. Reid’s Monday devotionals are always captivating. Here’s one called The Breath. And another called Frog Songs. Beautiful!
Titus Vargas offers some help and thoughts about overcoming anger.
I appreciated Robert’s thoughts about Making Room for Grief.
Alexander Semenyuk’s post about Coffee and Ukraine was interesting to me because I love coffee and to a friend of mine because they have been to Lviv and love Ukraine. The First Cafe in Lviv was an enjoyable read.
I enjoy Bobby Ross’ Religion Unplugged Weekend Plug-In. He shares top religious news stories of the week. Two things. (1) If it’s unplugged, how is it a plug in. (2) You can’t comment on it (Bobby, I know you wouldn’t have time to interact, but let us vent!). Really, though, I always enjoy the rundown and have often missed some of those stories (as I am an avid news-avoider).
And a little bit of harmless self-promotion, in case you missed it…
The Last Week of Jesus’ Life, sermon preview for March lessons at Forsythe Church of Christ. Sermons from Forsythe is where I post my sermon notes and Bible class notes and maybe a devotional thought here and there.
A Walk in the Woods, currently the most popular post on Hope Remains.
The Holy Lens - a photograph (taken by me), a passage of Scripture, and a prayer. I currently have 120 subscribers to that Substack. Next week we will be praying through some of the names of God. You’re invited to join in.
