I like the shot of the birds on the feeder. Looks like they’re talking it over :-)

One of the joys of sharing a garden with fellow living beings - (birds and squirrels in our case)(a rare raccoon but not lately). The gifts for us have been scattered tulips in odd spots in the yard - a couple of which didn’t originate in our flower beds.

I love your sunflower- thank you so much for sharing.

Ah yes, raccoons do visit sometimes, but not all the time. At least my motion camera doesn't

'see' them. How fun to have tulips not from your yard! Glad you enjoyed the post!

It is. Must say I once dared to plant sunflowers- which flourished- only to be beheaded by the squirrel mob -

the two birds are pretty and I'm convinced the orange headed one is a female.

I enjoyed reading about how these sunflowers are the result of your bird feeder topping over & that you mow around them allowing them to bloom wherever they have found themselves throughout your yard. This just made my day👩‍🌾☀️🐝🩷

Beautiful words, and beautiful pictures.. Thank you, John. I love your idea of "accidental blessings".. I'll be sure to be more conscious of them. You're right, they happen more often than we realize! 🙏🙂

They are beautiful and the bees like them and need them too!

John I don't say they are accidental, God has ways of planting flowers for us. Try to dig up a plant on side of road and replanting it, it never works. The flowers on side of road, God waters and takes care of them. ONLY GOD KNOWS!!!!!!!!

Thank you for sharing.

I love these cheerful pictures! A perfect view for an early morning read. I must say that all along, I have always thought of sunflowers as merely those lovely yellow blooms we see along the road, near homes, etc. I never realized that there are different varieties of them.

We get accidental sunflower, sometimes too. But it seems awfully our life for them to be blooming.
