About Hope Remains

In the Hope Remains newsletter, I share my thoughts about Christianity, books, television, photography, and other miscellany. It is named “Hope Remains” because that was the title of my blog for many years, and because in spite of everything I’ve faced, hope does, indeed, remain. I’m a Jesus guy, entirely grace-dependent, very amateur photographer, and author. Subscribe for free to get free and full access to the newsletter. Subscribers can expect the Sunday Night Check-In each week as well as other posts along the way - whatever’s on my mind that day. I often check out the NOTES portion of Substack, so connect there if you like.

I’d love for you to follow me on Facebook, Threads, Instagram, Bluesky and Goodreads. Also, if you are interested in my weekly sermon notes, Bible class notes, and occasional devotional writings, please subscribe to my Sermons and Studies From Forsythe newsletter.

I am the author of four books available on Amazon:

  • Jesus Likes You (HERE)

  • Through Your Tears (Here) - there is also a Spanish edition (Here)

  • Lord, Hear My Prayer (Here)

  • Lord, Hear My Prayer Journal (Here)

  • Merry Christmas to a Broken Heart (Here)

  • A Sinner’s Guide to Grace: Good News for the Wayward and Broken (Coming in January 2025)

Stay up-to-date

You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox. Yes, there are WAY too many emails these days, but most email clients let you put the most important ones in a particular folder. That’s where my newsletter goes, so you can find it. Or you can read on the Substack app, which makes it very easy.
