My Grand Grad
Sharing Personal Gladness
May is graduation season, and it is at my house as well. My favorite grandson, Blake, has graduated from high school. A move from Georgia to Louisiana right before COVID disrupted had him studying at home, and he just continued to do that until he finished. I’m proud of the way that he worked on his own to reach his goal and to achieve graduation in an untraditional setting. I could see the love his mother, Heather, has for him as she guided him through the process. His sister Claire is always in his corner, cheering him on!
I told him to set up a wishlist on Amazon, so he did and posted it HERE.
We will have a family celebration in a few weeks, but I wanted to share some of the photos from Black Bayou that we took this week. It was a weekend afternoon, and there were a lot of people out at the refuge. Almost everyone we passed on the pier said “congratulations,” which was heartwarming, and we were grateful.

I’m not sure what’s ahead for this young man, but I know he possesses qualities that will enable him to go as far as he would like. He is intelligent, has a way with putting things together, a quick wit, and is empathetic toward others. His Nana and Poppy love him and are proud of him! We look forward to seeing where he heads in life.
Thanks for letting me share a happy moment from our lives with you today! Carry on!

Congratulations to Blake and the entire family! Thank you for sharing these moments with us. God Bless!!
Congrats!
