The full moon for this month is the Beaver Moon. However, with the lunar eclipse, the moon will turn red and become known as the Blood Moon. These are taken early in the evening, before the eclipse from Monroe, Louisiana. My camera is a Canon SX70hs.
There are certain things I never tire of photographing. No matter how many times I have captured a Great White Egret, Northern Cardinal, or Blue Heron, I will still take one more. They are plentiful here in North Louisiana. Someone told me that once I start taking pictures of the moon, I was setting in motion something I would never cease. I think that’s true. Is anything more fascinating than a large bright moon on a clear night? Hope you enjoy these. Thanks for checking out this post.
We're just north of Baton Rouge, John, and had the opportunity to view it this morning. Wonderful! Also, thought I'd mention that my dad & stepmom are in Monroe (attend St. Mark's Methodist), and I went to college there. Very familiar with your neck of the woods.
I love the photos--I take a lot of pictures, but just with my phone. I don't have the patience to learn all the aspects of true photography. My husband is that person!
Do wish we could have seen it. Very cloudy!
